Ranking Every Game on the 2022 Schedule in Terms of Must-Watchability

As the NBA weaves its way through the summer, fans of all levels are looking for something to watch. Sports website The Step Back is here with a list ranking every game on the 2022 schedule in terms of must-watchability.

The “monday night football schedule 2022” is a ranking of every game on the 2022 NFL schedule in terms of must-watchability. The rankings are based on various factors, such as the teams playing and their recent performance.

Optimism is sweeping Philadelphia right now, as the Eagles have put together an amazing offseason that could give them a chance to beat the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East title in 2023. Jalen Hurts and company could benefit from a light schedule this season.

Let’s take a look at the freshly revealed schedule and evaluate each game from least entertaining to absolute must-see.

The games of take-it-or-leave-it

Week 9 — Thursday, Nov. 3 at. Houston Texans

This one is at the top of the list. Just win and get out of Texas as soon as possible.

16. Week 15 — Sunday, December 18 vs Chicago Bears

Opposing teams often like playing at Soldier Field, but not against this rebuilding Bears squad.

Week 14 vs. the New York Giants – Sunday, December 11

Every game between the Eagles and the Giants in recent years has been either a blowout or a messy slugfest. This isn’t exactly one to look forward to in the frigid New York weather.

Week 1 vs. the Detroit Lions – Sunday, September 11

If it hadn’t been played in Week 1, this would have been at the bottom of the list. No matter who the opponent is, the season opener is always a must-see.

13. TBD vs. New York Giants in Week 18

Bleh. Is it really necessary to play these folks twice?

12. New Orleans Saints in Week 17 — Sunday, Jan. 1

If the Eagles have a good season, this game might be critical to their postseason placement, and defeating the Saints would only help Philly’s first-round draft selection in 2023.

Week 5 — Sunday, Oct. 9 vs Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray is always entertaining to watch, and the outcome of this game might impact playoff seeding later in the season.

Week 11 — Sunday, Nov. 20 vs Indianapolis Colts

There is no better way to put your run defense to the test than to play against Jonathan Taylor and the Colts’ ferocious offensive line. If you like the trenches, you will enjoy this.

9. Green Bay Packers in Week 12 — Sunday, Nov. 27 (Sunday Night Football)

Over the years, Aaron Rodgers has had a field day against Philadelphia’s secondary, but the Eagles now have some capable guys back there to face the future Hall of Famer.

8. Washington Commanders, Week 3 — Sunday, September 25

Carson Wentz losing his first game against the Eagles after fumbling two times and throwing a late interception? Please register us.

7. Week 6 — Sunday, Oct. 16 against. Dallas Cowboys

The game against Dallas is usually a must-see at home. Week 6 victory might be critical in establishing an early lead in the NFC East.

6. Minnesota Vikings, Week 2 — Monday, Sept. 19 (Monday Night Football)

The matchup between Darius Slay and Justin Jefferson could be exciting. A huge game after the one that went away won’t help Eagles fans everywhere’s mood.

No exclusions to the must-see games

On an ESPN conference call with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman was questioned about MNF in Week 10, when Carson Wentz returns to the Philadelphia Eagles as a Commander:

“To be honest, this is probably his final chance to establish that he can be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.”

5. Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 — Sunday, Oct. 30

The NFL’s Battle of Pennsylvania is an underappreciated rivalry. It’s always good to see this contest on the calendar.

4. Week 4 — Sunday, Oct. 2 at. Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday Night Football)

Fans in Philadelphia will be so delighted to see Doug Pederson return to the Linc that they will be content to lose the game. That shouldn’t be a problem against the Jaguars, who are rebuilding.

3. Tennessee Titans in Week 13 — Sunday, Dec. 4

Nothing like a home game versus the AFC’s No. 1 seed to get the adrenaline pumping. Against his former club, A.J. Brown may throw for 200 yards and two touchdowns.

2. Dallas Cowboys, Week 16 — Saturday, December 24

The NFC East division might be decided in Game 2 against the Cowboys. Isn’t it great to tear their hearts out in Jerry’s house?

Week 10 versus. Washington Commanders – November 14

Was there really any other option for number one? The return of Carson Wentz to Lincoln Financial Field is just must-see television. Make sure the volume in your living room is set to 100 to hear the harmonized chorus of boos.
